Every SAS Acoustics product is designed and engineered in our build house, with a full production cycle of approximately 90 days: 30 days for raw material sourcing, 30 days for driver and enclosure manufacturing, and 30 days for final assembly, quality control, and burn-in. Prior to shipping, each unit undergoes a full analog and digital burn-in process as part of our quality control procedure. SAS Acoustics warrants that each unit is free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship at the time of purchase, subject to the terms below.
This warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is non-transferable. Proof of purchase from SAS Acoustics or an authorized dealer is required for all warranty claims.
Units purchased through pre-order campaigns, warehouse closeout sales, or heavily discounted limited releases are covered under a 1–2 year manufacturing warranty, with the exact coverage period and terms specific to that purchase listed on the original sales receipt. Customers purchasing through these programs should retain their sales receipt, as it governs the specific warranty terms applicable to that unit.
We do not offer a general return or refund policy. All sales are final. We stand behind every unit through the warranty process outlined below rather than through returns, and we encourage every customer to reach out immediately with any performance concerns so we can resolve them quickly.
Under normal, documented studio or professional use, this warranty covers:
• Manufacturing defects in electronic components, wiring, or cabinetry
• DSP or amplifier module failures not caused by external damage or misuse
• Driver failures confirmed, upon inspection, to result from a manufacturing defect rather than operating conditions
Consistent with standard practice across the high-end studio monitor industry, this warranty does not cover damage or failure resulting from:
• Misuse, abuse, or operation outside manufacturer specifications, including sustained clipping or distortion caused by improper gain staging (e.g., driving a source or interface to its output ceiling to compensate for an incorrectly set rear trim/attenuator)
• Unauthorized service, repair, or modification by anyone other than an SAS Acoustics technician
• Improper installation, shipping damage not reported within the required inspection window, or damage from acts of God (fire, flood, lightning, power surge)
• Normal wear and tear, cosmetic wear, or damage from external accessories, cabling, or third-party equipment not manufactured by SAS Acoustics
• Water, humidity, or environmental exposure outside rated operating conditions
On blown drivers specifically:
Driver failure is, in the overwhelming majority of cases, the result of how a unit was driven rather than a manufacturing defect. In six years of production, only six units have required driver replacement due to a confirmed manufacturing defect after extended ownership. Because of this, a blown driver claim is not automatically covered — it is evaluated through the diagnostic process below, and covered if and only if our testing confirms a manufacturing defect.
To open a warranty ticket, please contact our Sales & Warranty team with the following:
1. Date of purchase
2. Name the purchase was made under
3. Serial number of the specific unit exhibiting the issue
4. A brief description of the issue, including any relevant photos or video
Our team will review the claim and, where needed, request the unit be sent to our Atlanta facility for bench testing of the affected component(s).
• Customers are responsible for shipping the unit to SAS Acoustics for evaluation.
• If our testing confirms a manufacturing defect, SAS Acoustics will cover the cost of repair or replacement, as well as return shipping back to the customer.
• If our testing finds no manufacturing defect, return shipping back to the customer is the customer's responsibility.
• SAS Acoustics reserves the right to determine, based on physical inspection and bench testing, whether a reported issue falls within the scope of this warranty.
We build every SAS Acoustics product ourselves, and we test every claim the same way — hands-on, in our overseas build house facility, before any decision is made. If something is genuinely wrong with a unit we built, we'll make it right. Our goal is always to get you back to making music with monitors performing exactly as designed.
